A well-lit house filled with furniture from the dark ages creates Old-World comfort in the Schwab home.
The home’s façade is made with a combination of bricks re-used from a torndown house and others splattered with mortar and brushed to give the place an aged look that, from the curb, evokes an English manor.
The staircase is a combination of dark wood and graceful wrought-iron curves.
Everywhere you look there are dark colors, all deep wood tones and aged metal.
The Schwab’s living room, with leather couches and pool table, is their entertaining Mecca.
Warm colors, soft furniture and curved doorways create an inviting feel.
Custom-made knotty alder cabinets hide the kitchen appliances.
Theresa points out the wet bar tucked underneath the staircase, which immediately comes across as a clever use of an unloved space in a house.
